For sizing reference please look at the size chart. These are unisex shorts based on standard male sizing. To get a better idea of the waist multiply the letter A by 2 in order to get the true waist measurement.
For example a size Medium is 32 inches around give or take (The average waist measurement in Men for size M gym shorts, pants, etc)
